WAUCONDA – Assistant Republican Leader Mark H. Beaubien, Jr. (R-Wauconda) is calling on the General Assembly to take action on approving a capital infrastructure bill before the end of the year to address critically needed road improvements, bridge repairs, mass transit, and school construction needs.
Back in February, Representative Beaubien and his House Republican colleagues introduced their Rebuilding and Investing in Illinois capital infrastructure program, a $5 billion investment in Illinois infrastructure for roads, bridges, mass transit, and school construction needs around the state. The proposal has remained stalled all year amidst the discordant stalemate between Democrat leaders in the General Assembly. Continue reading »
